In my preparation for Sunday school for next week, I found myself not having a CLUE as to what I read, ten times... I began to doubt and second guess what I got myself into. I emailed a friend whom I would consider more verse in the Bible and she understood the same and was just as confused at the same part.... boy did I feel better!!! I appreciate the clarity from PM and it even made me think about the conversation I had with Jordan on the way home from school.
Recently I mentioned that Jordan received "shields" he was "caught" being nice to students and rewarded. Today on the way home, I asked, "did you receive any more shields?" he responded,"no..." I said," did you stop being nice?" my son and I love him for this responded... "No, I was nice, but nobody was around to see it". That is what I have always taught my son (and trying to do with my daughter). We do for others, because we can and it is nice to do for others.
It made me think: Why do you do things for others? At work, at home, at school? What motivates you? Is it that you want to receive something in return? Is it more than that "good feeling"?
Tomorrow, my cousin's surrogate will have a sonogram. I pray that everything is as it should be and that this will be what my cousin and her husband have been so patiently waiting to hear. Tomorrow take time to do something for someone else. You never know how one event could change a person's life.
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I lay my head down tonight, I will think about how Great you are. I ask that my family and friends who are in need of their name being whispered in your ear are heard. May Kelly, Bob, Bob, Peggy, Kenny, Jerry, Brendan, Ellen, Carol, Leslie, Robin, Aunt Lorraine, Marisa, Rich (and D) all feel your GREATNESS in their time of need. Thank you for giving me the strength and your unconditional guidance.
Amen
