Jordan was so excited to tell me that he had remembered everything, he sent me a text as soon as he got on the bus... Sometimes when we look so forward to something, it is an even harder "blow" I felt such pain for my son as I had to text that his friend could not come over as he would be grounded when he got home. Jordan probably knew before the child knew.
Jordan is such an emotional gentle kid, he just couldn't grasp why.... "But I did everything you told me to do, for nothing?" I laughed and said, "well you can still have fun, your friend on the other hand, well he won't be doing anything but two Science projects this weekend.... do you still think it was for nothing?"
It was a hard night for him, but there were moments of seeing that sweet child I know...I am so proud of him, he received two shields this week. When a student is "caught" doing something nice they receive a shield. Jordan is always wanting to help others and it's nice that he can. .. he wanted to make us cookies, so we all walked over to shoprite (instead of going to bed).... This really was a treat and a reward, and a special moment (for both kids)...
Mackenzie had a great week in school and I am REALLY proud of her for that. Before people say, HUH? Yes, she is still at her Godmother's home, but she is being home schooled and loves it. I am so grateful for Kim and all the work she does with the girls and for Carol for EVERYTHING... my children have a safe place to go each day and that makes everything easier.
Tonight as I start to close my eyes, I thank our Heavenly Father for everything he has given us and for the answers that are yet to come... wishing you all a fabulous Friday night sleep, and that tomorrow when you awaken in the morning light, you start to see a super Saturday!!!!!
